England broke their own world record for the highest score in ODI cricket after crunching 498-4 to beat Netherlands by 232 runs in a run-fest. The previous record was 481-6, set by England against Australia in 2018.

England's Innings

England's innings was led by Jos Buttler, who made 162 off 70 balls. Buttler was supported by Dawid Malan (125 off 109 balls) and Liam Livingstone (66 off 22 balls). England's total is the highest ever scored in an ODI match against a Full Member nation.

Netherlands' Innings

Netherlands were never in the hunt, as they were bowled out for 179 in 30.1 overs. Stephan Myburgh was the only batsman to offer any resistance, scoring 57 off 51 balls. Moeen Ali was the pick of the England bowlers, taking 3-42, while Adil Rashid took 3-54.

England's victory gives them a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. The second ODI will be played on Sunday, June 19.
