Defending champions Argentina have reached the final of the 2024 Copa America, where they will play either Uruguay or Colombia after they comfortably defeated Canada 2-0 on Tuesday. Julian Alvarez opened the scoring for Argentina in the first half, before Lionel Messi added a second after the break to secure the victory.

Argentina will now face the winner of the semi-final between Uruguay and Colombia, which is set to be played on Wednesday. Uruguay and Colombia have both been in impressive form in the tournament, and the match is expected to be a close contest.

The other semi-final saw Paraguay, Bolivia, and Peru eliminated from the competition. Paraguay lost 3-1 to Uruguay, while Bolivia fell to Colombia 2-0. Peru was defeated by Brazil 5-0 in the other quarterfinal.

The 2024 Copa America final will be played on Sunday, July 14, at the Estadio Monumental Antonio Vespucio Liberti in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
