Early Life and Career

Nerlens Noel, born on April 10, 1994, is an American professional basketball player. He began his basketball career at Everett High School in Massachusetts, where he was a highly rated recruit. Noel later played college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats, where he was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2013.

NBA Career

Noel was selected sixth overall by the New Orleans Pelicans in the 2013 NBA draft. He has since played for the Philadelphia 76ers, Dallas Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder, and New York Knicks. In 2022, he signed with the Sacramento Kings. Noel is known for his defensive prowess, particularly his shot-blocking ability. He has been named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team twice in his career.

Stats and Accomplishments

Over his career, Noel has averaged 7.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game. He has also been a member of the USA Basketball team, winning a gold medal at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
